Mona Lisa x Policeman

Urban art is often destroyed, erased by the representatives of the order. VAY’s intention in associating these images is to show that art stands above authority and allows us to denounce injustice. The highlighting of the bazooka bullet through the addition of color symbolizes the destruction. The Mona Lisa, representation of “Art” in the broadest sense, targets the policeman, symbol of authority.

Che

The work of Che by Bansky is singular and critical of American capitalist society. To go further, VAY chose to decline this poster in different colors and by changing the monetary symbol in the glasses of CHE (dollar, euros, bitcoin). This series of three posters aims to generalize Banksy’s critique to the whole of global capitalism.
